What happens during a Brazilian wax?
A quick freshen-up before we begin! We’ll have an intimate cleansing wipe and a clean towel ready for you in the treatment room. You can use the small towel to cover up and get comfortable before your service — no need to worry if you’re coming straight from class, work or a busy day.
A Brazilian wax removes most or all of the hair from the bikini area and between the bottom cheeks, depending on your preference. Your Esthetician will talk with you before getting started, explain what to expect, and help you feel comfortable throughout the service.
We offer both waxing and sugaring, and your Esthetician can help you choose the option that makes sense for your skin and preferences. Some discomfort is normal because the hair is removed from the root, but the service is over before you know it. You can take a breath, ask questions, or let your Esthetician know if you need a moment.

How painful is a Brazilian wax?

How should I prepare for my first Brazilian wax?
A little preparation can help your appointment go smoothly:
Let the hair grow in. Hair needs enough length for the wax or sugar paste to grip. About ¼ inch is a helpful guide; if you’re unsure, don’t trim right before your visit—we can advise you.
Arrive with clean, dry skin. A shower beforehand is great. Skip heavy lotions or oils on the area.
Gently exfoliate ahead of time, if your skin tolerates it. Avoid scrubbing on the day of your appointment.
Tell us about medications, allergies, skin sensitivities, or recent treatments. Some products and medications can make skin more sensitive. If you’re unsure whether something affects waxing, contact us before your appointment.
Wear comfortable clothing. Soft, breathable underwear and loose-fitting clothes can feel better afterward.
You don’t need to do anything special to make the appointment less awkward. We’ll explain what you need to know when you arrive.
How long does a Brazilian wax take?
The timing can vary depending on your hair growth and the service details. Your Esthetician will work carefully and efficiently, and you can ask us about appointment timing when you book.
What should I avoid after waxing?
Some temporary redness or sensitivity right after waxing is normal. For the first 24–48 hours, be gentle with the area:
Avoid hot baths, saunas, and other sources of intense heat.
Wear loose, breathable clothing to reduce friction.
Try not to touch or scratch the freshly waxed skin.
Follow the aftercare guidance your Esthetician gives you.
